There is no justifiable reason why I should be up this late on a Monday night. Like I mentioned, we had 9:00 to 11:00 p.m. rehearsal, and I felt surprisingly awake on the way home. So, I decided to go ahead and watch the Bachelorette from tonight. If this isn't pure entertainment, I don't know what is. We're about to start giving out some roses! She's already sent the psycho home, and now there's a clear underdog in my opinion. We'll see if I'm right... YES! Good girl.
Today was an interesting day back to work. I went to Starbucks on the way and got my Iced White Chocolate Mocha goodness. It was the perfect start to the day, especially because I didn't realize I'd be in four hours of meetings. Because of the meeting craziness, we got pizza delivered, which was a nice treat even though I'm not a pizza fanatic. Then my friend KQ and I went to Yoforia. I got pineapple yogurt with Sour Patch Kids, kiwi and strawberries. Mmm!
I went by the doctor's office to get blood drawn for the study. However, things didn't quite go as planned. After six sticks, there was literally no indication that my arm was willing to relinquish any blood. Sooo, we pretty much gave up and are trying for tomorrow. I wore a dress today and was really cold, which didn't help the cause. I'm gonna dress warmly tomorrow.
What else? I just feel like good things are on the way for me. It's funny that I felt the exact opposite at this time last week.
Oh, and today was not very good on the stomach/appetite front. I forgot to mention (I think) that my back started bothering me at one point during the beach trip. Saturday afternoon the pain was so bad that I was nauseous. Today was like that, too. It's really weird because no painkiller I took was helping the cause. I hope it's just a strain or something and will be headed out of the door ASAP. I emailed my doctor just to get an opinion. We'll see what she says.
Happy birthday to my mom!

Invisible
Today was a much better day, fans!! Thank you all for the support and the encouragement; I think I am on the right track to feeling better. I was feeling very sore today, but didn't have even half of the lung pain or breathing difficulty today. Woohooo! I can't tell you how relieved I am to have had a day where I felt better than worse. Forward progress is GREAT!
Speaking of progress, Drew's Crew is only $60 shy of $6K online right now, so that makes me smile! I know that we have at least $500 in checks, too, so we are probably 1/3 of the way to my big ol' goal. I got one donation and two new walkers today, so I'm excited about all of that.
My boss suggested that I stay home from work tomorrow if it will help me get back where I need to be, and I haven't yet decided whether or not to take her up on that offer. I'd kind of like to be up and about for the first day this week, buuuut my body is also radiating from the soreness right now, so we'll see how I sleep tonight. I think I remember exactly how I had the three pillows situated last night in order to minimize the pain as much as possible. Geez, I sound pitiful!
Today I had some yogurt at a place called Yogli Mogli. I got strawberry and raspberry yogurt topped with gummy bears, strawberries, kiwi, mango and pineapple. It was pretty fun, but they really ought to invest in some better quality gummy bears. For me, Drew Dotson, to throw out a gummy bear, something is horrendously wrong. The green gummy bears were absolutely awful. It got me thinking about how great Haribo gummy bears are. I learned the other day that the green Haribo bears are actually strawberry-flavored. All gummy bear companies should look into doing something like that because green is notoriously bad when it comes to candy.
Well, I guess I better get ready for bed. I mean, I've been in bed for much of the day, but I guess I better proceed as though I'll be sleeping soon. Tomorrow is going to be a big day for me whether I go to work or not - surviving an improv show when I didn't think my body would survive the week.
I am glad you are reading this.

Fruuuuuuuit
Hellllllllllo. I ate a lot today. I'll go ahead and put that out there. I had sushi for lunch, then realized I ate too fast and had time to spare, so I went and got yogurt afterwards. The yogurt was so good - It was mango-flavored and I had pineapple, kiwi, and mango pieces on top of it. Deeeelicious.
Then, yesterday at work, we had a small office celebration, where I munched on just about everthing imaginable, including one of my personal favorites - cheese straws. I also had a beer, and it's just fun to be drinking a beer at work. It feels kind of rebellious the entire time, even though it was sitting there on the table for anyone to take. I was one of only a few people who took one (the only female), but that just shows that I know I'm a hard worker.
I got the worst Charley horse in my left foot yesterday. I mean, I've only had a few in my entire life, but this one was pretty lengthy. It seemed like it was a full two minutes, so it was probably only 30 seconds. I literally felt like my foot might explode. I wish I could articulate the pain in writing.
Roomie and I celebrated with Coldstone last night. She was a sweet angel and brought it home to me, like my little personal shopper. I had watermelon sorbet with gummy bears, like always. I haven't had anything else at Coldstone in at least a year. If it ain't brizzoke, don't fix it.
On Monday I started this plan of drinking more water. Why? Well, I'm in a constant state of dehydration because I very rarely drink water. I have a cup of coffee when I get to work, and then don't even think about drinking until I go to lunch. At lunch, I usually get a water, but then realize when I'm leaving that I forgot about it. On Monday I probably drank between 15 and 20 ounces, which is incredible for me (sadly). Today I forgot about the resolution until a few minutes ago, when I chugged 8 ounces. Maybe I'll be a better H2O-drinker tomorrow.
