The Falcons make me proud! We (yes, I am on the team) just improved our record to 10-2. AWESOME! I still have on my Falcons hoodie.
Well, I'm probably about to go to sleep and it's just after 8:00 p.m. I stayed up pretty late last night AND the cold weather makes me want to sleep. I just saw that the morning wind chill is supposed to be in the teens tomorrow. That's absolutely absurd if you ask me...
The ENT said my nose looked pretty bad, so that's just wonderful. He put me on a steroid for six weeks, so hopefully that helps with the inflammation. The noseroid goes straight into my nostril. CRAZY!
I had a fun weekend! I took it easy on Friday night because I was just so exhausted from the week's shenanigans. Saturday I tried a new drink at Starbucks - the Gingerbread Latte - recommended by AM. It was awesome! Then I headed down to the theatre to work the box office at the kids' show.
After the show, MJ and I tried to go to the SEC football championship game at the Georgia Dome. There were absolutely no tickets when we arrived there, so we went and watched it at a bar instead. Then we went to a wine party. I had a good time and stayed up LATE.
Today I've been good for nothing. I really only accomplished two things: 1) I did a load of laundry, and 2) I fixed shells and cheese. I also took two naps if those fall into the 'accomplishments' category.
Happy December!

The moment we've all been waiting for...
NOT.
Back to work tomorrow. Coming down from a vacation is so difficult. I do feel very refreshed, though, and could stand to get back into the swing of things again.
I had a good weekend. I got up early yesterday to enjoy some more time on the beach before heading back to Atlanta. I wandered around on the beach for a while and hopped in the car for a 9:30 a.m. departure. My mom and I rode back with my uncle and grandmother and had a pretty good drive. We had Krystal for lunch and made it back to Atlanta just after 4:00 p.m.
I started some laundry and went to the gym. I used my sportband for the first time ever and I liked it. There are a few things I need to investigate as far as running versus walking and if there's any way to make it register distance on an elliptical. It was fun to use, though! I ran into a neighbor at the gym and got invited to hang out at another neighbor's place last night. Then I went out for some drinks at this sneaky little bar underneath Taco Mac.
Today wasn't very productive. I did eat Mexican for dinner, though, so I consider the day a success. I've had a weird appetite lately. I guess you could say I've had a loss of appetite. Ever since the last day in the DR, I haven't quite been feeling right eating-wise. I'll feel really hungry, then feel a knot in my stomach when I start eating. Shortly after, though, my stomach will start growling again. It's a little weird. I also hit the nail on the head when I estimated that I gained five pounds on vacation.
I'm about to go to sleep. I'm going to go into work early tomorrow so that I can come home for a while before my 9:00 p.m. rehearsal. I am excited to see my friends! Send good thoughts my way so that I can survive tomorrow.

The eagle has landed
HAPPY MONDAY MORNING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Aren't I enthusiastic?!?! I'm creating enthusiasm right now...
So, yesterday was a pretty awesome day, if I must say so myself. It was the most productive day I've had in a long time. Remember how I wasn't going to set my alarm? Well, I forgot that it was set from Saturday. Sooooooo, when it woke me up at 10:44 a.m., I was pretty disappointed, but that was definitely enough sleep for a tyke like myself.
First I cleaned my room because, BOY, did it need it?! Not only did I clean up everything scattered throughout the floor, but I actually cleaned off my bed for once. It's usually incredible how much stuff I have on my bed when I'm going to sleep. I usually sleep in strange directions that make the junk at the end of the bed irrelevant, but I even cleaned off the bed and could have stretched all the way out if I had chosen to last night.
I washed all of my dirty clothes and even my sheets, so I'm feeling like I've got a wardrobe to chose from today.
At almost 1:00 p.m., I sat down to force myself to work on my book. I went downstairs and sat on the couch with my laptop, with the goal that I would at least do something - whether it was revising, helping bridge sections, etc. Well, I ended up working on it until about 5:30 p.m. with hardly any distractions. I basically worked on making things clearer for a reader other than myself, and I got through about half of it. SUCCESS! I was feeling pretty inspired because a friend's invigoration was contagious.
After working hard all afternoon, I went to meet two long-term friends for Mexican... Imagine that! It was POURING outside, so the roads were flooding a little bit. When we got to the restaurant, there wasn't any parking nearby, so we had to run inside while trying to stay as dry as possible. Of course I had on these slip-on canvas shoes with no socks, so there were some puddles I simply could not make it through if I didn't want to be up to my ankles in water. So, right there before I crossed the street, I took off my shoes and ran barefooted all the way to the restaurant. When we got inside, my feet were so cold that I could barely feel them. Oh, the things we do for Mexican food! Anyway, dinner was fun and it was nice to catch up!
Well, it's the start of another busy week. I'm speaking at a CF Foundation event on Wednesday, so I'm excited about that. Off to start my day...

Fwhew
What. A. Week.
Well, the latest news is that, when we lost Motorola and Zenith, we appear to have also lost the microwave. Now, I'm actually really angry about that. I'm hoping for a miracle, but it doesn't seem to be very promising. When I try to flip the switch that the microwave is on, there are significant sparks and zapping sounds. Then, the switch flips itself back the other way. This honestly just sounds dangerous. And so did the near electrocution.
Today they announced a recall on my car, so that's also very convenient. Supposedly there are two parts that need to be replaced so that I don't crash. I don't really understand it, but it sounded like it could get ugly.
Last night I went to the Braves game and it was so much fun. After seeing there was only a 10% chance of rain, I dressed in not-rain-appropriate clothing. It rained harder than I've seen in I don't know how long. I ended up having to buy a hoodie. I put it on in the store and walked up to the register and got scanned. The Braves beat the Mets (wooooohooooooo!), bringing me to 8-2 for the season. I'm pretty proud of myself. I am also going to the game tomorrow (against the Phillies), so I'm hoping for the best!
What else? Today I made my post-hospital return to Willy's, so that was pretty eventful. It was what I needed to get me through the day. Last night's game started at about 9:30 p.m., so I wasn't home until close to 1:00 a.m. I definitely drank a Red Bull at work today.
I better go get my silly laundry out of the silly washer. I am really social on Friday nights.

Burnout
Hi. My name is Drew and I am experiencing burnout.
This week has flown by, yet lasted forever at the same time. Does that even make sense? I don't know, but I'm sure there's some lunatic out there who is reading this and understands. I have jumped from one thing to another all week and can't wait to sit at home and take it easy this weekend. Now we'll just see if I do that because I have a feeling I might go back on my word. werd. drew.
The highlight of my day was that I had Ben and Jerry's at work. I got chocolate chip cookie dough with Reese's Pieces and chocolate syrup. Deeeeelicious! I had a Moe's burrito for lunch and nachos/spinach dip for dinner. I am eating so much lately and exercising almost none. I can't wait to have a non-hurting rib so I can workout more.
I'm trying to think back to whether or not anything exceptionally amusing happened this week. Apparently the answer is no. I have really been chasing my own tail all week.
I can't believe it's already August...almost. I don't even know where the summer went. Geez, I am so absent-minded right now because I'm just exhausted to the max.
On that note, I am going to go check on my laundry and reflect on the fact that there was absolutely no reason to write this.
